Girls of Guatemala and Costa Rica continue unbeaten
BOQUERON, Cabo Rojo, July 24 2010 – The girls of Guatemala and
Costa Rica continued with their winning streak in the second day
of the Beach Volleyball preliminary round at the Central
American and Caribbean Games, Mayagüez 2010.
Maria Jose Orellana and Lourdes Ramirez of Guatemala and
costaricans Ingrid Morales and Natalia Alfaro won their second
match of the games. Guatemala prevailed over Mona Marjorie
Crawford and Anthazia Yearwood of Barbados, and Costa Rica over
Brenda Allen and Shanicia Dyer de St. Kitts & Nevis.
For Ayana Dyette y Nadiege Teri-Ann Honore from Trinidad, it
took three sets to win against Cherine Richards y Cheryl Daley
of Jamaica (19-21, 22-20, 15-11).
Other winners: Ivonne Soler with Laura Molina of El Salvador
over Elia Torrez and Jaqueline Toruño of Nicaragua; Gina Del
Rosario Selmo and Ingri Carmona of Dominican Republic dominated
Dania Hamilton and Tramaine Edward of St. Lucia.
